The City of Powder Springs' inaugural public services, equity and inclusion agency executive director is Bill Tanks. He comes to Powder Springs from Cobb County, where he served as the public services agency director. Tanks in his new role will oversee parks and recreation, the police department and municipal court.
The City of Powder Springs' inaugural development & infrastructure agency executive director is Eric Meyer. Prior to joining the City of Powder Springs, Meyer spent seven years as planning division manager for the Cobb County Department of Transportation. His division oversaw the development of the Comprehensive Transportation Plan, the County Trails Master Plan, and other planning efforts. He brings to the city 28 years of policy, legislative, planning and design work experience. Meyer oversees Community Development and Public Works.
