Holiday Ventures 2020

This Holiday season will look a little different in Powder Springs but that doesn't mean it will be any less festive! We've planned several opportunities to explore the area and enjoy the season in 2020!

Virtual Tree Lighting

Date: Friday, Dec. 4
Time: 7:00pm
Location: Virtual Event 

Yes, we will still light the Tree in Powder Springs! This is a great tradition with many of our families and we want this year to be no different however, we will not have a live lighting of the Tree instead opting to pre-record everything and air it on Friday, Dec. 4 at 7:00pm via social media and our website. We invite you all to light your tree with us! Together we can shine a light throughout Powder Springs!

With our new downtown park, Thurman Springs Park, open our Tree has found a new home on the lawn. The community will be able to come out and enjoy the beautifully lit Christmas Tree beginning Friday, December 4 after 7:00pm. Make plans to bring your family down and remember to tag us in your pics, #ThisIsPowderSprings!


Holiday Yard Displays

Storybook Trail on the Wildhorse

Date: Dec. 4 - Jan. 10
Location: Wildhorse Trail
Time: Dawn to Dusk

Take your family on a fun filled adventure down the Wildhorse Trail as you learn "How to Catch A Reindeer!"  This is an interactive story written just for the Powder Springs Storybook Trail. You'll start at the Trailhead in Lancer Subdivision and travel down the trail toward Hopkins Rd. Once you complete the trail be sure to stop by The Book Worm Bookstore at, 4451 Marietta St., to pick up a special prize bag!

Reindeer Scavenger Hunt

Santa's Reindeer are on the loose again and they're right here in Powder Springs! Download a Scavenger Hunt Clue Card beginning Dec. 4 to help you find these sneaky reindeer in time for Christmas! Look for the reindeer heads all around our city. Can you can find all nine? If you do be sure to stop by The Book Worm Bookstore at, 4451 Marietta St., for a special prize!
