Alcohol Licensing
Any individual, partnership, corporation or entity which engages in the sale of alcohol with object of gain, profit, benefit, or advantage must obtain an Alcoholic Beverage License prior to engaging in these activities.
License Requirement
To apply for an Alcoholic Beverage License you may obtain an application from the City’s Business License Division. Include with the application a processing fee of $500, the citizenship (SAVE) affidavit, the Private Employer affidavit, and one secure and verifiable document, a survey plat of the site completed by a certified surveyor, and proof of training in responsible alcohol sales and service. Term of License
The annual renewal deadline is November 15th. The alcohol license is valid from January 1st to December 31st, and MUST be renewed annually. Late penalties assessed after November 15th per Sec. 3-142.1 of the Code of Ordinances. Sales must cease if you fail to submit payment in full and all supporting documents by December 31st. Note that a postmark is not sufficient. Any license not renewed by January 1st will be treated as a new applicant. More Info...
Occupation Tax & Regulatory Fees
The Occupation Tax for the operation of a business with a Alcoholic Beverage License is contingent on the projected gross revenue from all revenue sources of the business for 12 months. In addition, flat non-prorated regulatory fees for liquor, beer, or wine are as follows:
