Annual Events

Downtown Powder Springs is the heart of the City and the place where residents and visitors can meet for recreation and entertainment. Powder Springs has a full schedule of events that occur On The Lawn in Town Square. There is always plenty of parking and most events are free to the public. There is something for every age and interest from parades and festivals to family fun runs and concerts. On The Lawn is the place to be in Powder Springs!
Run for Food 5k RACE
Date: March 26, 2016
Time: 9 a.m.
Location: Town Square
The City of Powder Springs Police Department is hosting the second annual Run For Food 5k. This year's event will be a timed RACE. Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 4-12 years old. The proceeds from the run will go to MUST Ministries Summer Lunch Program which benefits resident children of Powder Springs.

5th Saturday Car Shows

The Push Rods are back in Town Square every 5th Saturday in 2015. Come downtown for and join the fun! Music, Food, Door Prizes, and a 50/50 Raffle.

Ride the Wildhorse Community Bike Ride
Date: May 7
Time: 10 am
Location: Wildhorse Trail
Cost: Free and Open to the Public; Join the City of Powder Springs Wellness Team for a fun community walk on the scenic Wildhorse Trail. The walk will begin at 10am in the Wildhorse Creek park parking lot located on Macedonia Rd. The walk is an easy 2 miles on pavement. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to attend. There will be a raffle for door prizes.

July 4th Celebration and Fireworks

Cost: Free and Open to the Public; VIP tables are available for purchase
Downtown Powder Springs is the place to be on July 4th. The fun begins at 6 p.m. The festivities will end with a spectacular fireworks show. This event is free and open to the public. Games, inflatables, vendors, and food will also be available throughout the celebration.

Christmas on the Lawn

Reindeer 5k Family Fun Run
Date: Dec. 3rd
Time: 9 a.m.
Location: Wildhorse Trail
The City of Powder Springs Wellness Team is proud to be sponsoring the Reindeer 5k fun run on the Wild Horse Trail. Staging for the run will be at 9 a.m. at the Wild Horse Park located at 3820 Macedonia Rd by the lower ballfield. The run will commence on the scenic Wild Horse Trail and will loop back to Wild Horse Park and will end with hot cocoa and cookies. Registration is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4-12 years old. Children 1-3 years old are free. A family participation package is available for $25. The proceeds from the run will benefit the City of Powder Springs Angel Trees. Participants who register in advance will receive a Reindeer Run t-shirt . All levels of fitness are encouraged to attend.
